Hi, I’m Brian Richards — the creator, curator, and dreamer behind The Retroverse, a creative space where midcentury modern style meets the bold imagination of retro-futurism.
What started as a love for vintage design and sci-fi storytelling has grown into a full creative brand — with blog articles, art, digital design tools, and a curated shop of retro-inspired products.

A Life in Entertainment
Before launching the Retroverse, I spent over a decade as an established DJ, holding residencies and guest spots at bars and nightclubs throughout New York City and New Jersey.
My love of music and performance started long before DJing — in the 90s and early 2000s, I performed stand-up and improvisational comedy, as well as singing shows.
Today, I bring that same energy and creativity to my weekly themed DJ livestreams on Twitch, mixing disco, nu-disco, house, tech-house, and pop anthems — always with one goal in mind: music that makes you feel good.
